*Rabbi Jeff Roth *is founder and director of the *Awakened Heart Project for
Contemplative Judaism*. His teachings offer a fresh take on meditation that
focuses on using the distilled wisdom of Judaism and Buddhism as a way to
learn from life experience. By combining these two traditions, he presents a
model that allows Westerners of all backgrounds to embrace timeless Eastern
teachings without sacrificing their birth traditions. Through didactic
presentations and the time to practice and implement what we learn,
participants will learn the basic skills needed to continue practice on
their own.

We recommend that you attend the whole event; however, if unable, we offer
you an opportunity to join us for the regular Sangha time from 6:30 to 8:30
pm free of charge. Rabbi Jeff Roth will do a program during that time that
is meaningful also for people who were not present for the first four hours.
Please let us know when you register what portion of the day you will be
attending.

In the Buddhist and Jewish spirit of generosity and inclusiveness, Dharma
Teachings are offered free of charge. However, in order to help defray the
costs associated with providing retreat space and other expenses *your
generosity in providing voluntary donations for the teacher, the Sangha, the
Institute, and the Temple are gratefully accepted and encouraged*. *The
minimum donation requested to attend this event is $12.00*, which includes a
simple vegetarian dinner. If you are unable to contribute this amount,
please contact Emunah, the Registrar for this event, (see information
below).
