*About the Dharma Teacher: *
*Glenn H. Mullin (Ngapka Maitri Zopa)* is a world renowned Tibetologist,
Buddhist teacher and writer, and translator of classical Tibetan literature.
He has authored more than two dozen books on Tibetan Buddhist culture,
Tibetan Buddhism, and Tibetan Buddhist art. Most of his books have been
translated into a dozen languages. He studied in the Himalayas for almost
two decades with many of the greatest lamas alive at the time and is well
versed in Zen Buddhist Practices and meditation which he transmits to his
students in an entertaining and clear manner. Glenn has taught Buddhist
meditation and philosophy in more than 20 countries around the world. His
clear method and language makes it easy for Western practitioners to apply
timeless mindfulness teachings and meditation practices to their everyday
lives.
Glenn presently lives in Mongolia, where he is helping to rebuild the
traditional culture. He is the chief fund-raiser and project director for
the restoration of the Mongolian residence of the great Russian-born New
York artist and writer Nicholas Roerich, one of the early luminaries of the
theosophical movement. Roerich became the first Buddhist to be nominated
for the Nobel Peace Prize (1929) and his “Roerich Peace Pact” was signed by
President Roosevelt and 25 world leaders in 1935. His place is now known as
the Shambhala Museum and Art Institute.
This year, Lama Glenn will be offering
