Tonight our Sangha will be hosting a visiting DharmaTeacher.
*ABOUT THE DHARMA TEACHER: **Roger Hawkins* has a master’s in psychology
from Antioch University and a doctorate from Ryokan College. He studied Zen
Buddhism under Richard Baker Roshi and Tenshin Reb Anderson Roshi and
practiced with Taizan Maezumi Roshi from 1993 until his death in 1995. He
received Dharma transmission form Lou Mitsunen Nordstrom Roshi in 2004 with
the title Shikan Sensei. He currently lives Western North Carolina and
practices with the Cloud Cottage Sangha, our sister Sangha in Black
Mountain, NC.

Please arrive by 5:50p.m. in order to give yourself a chance to mindfully
settle in and become acquainted with the Sangha. We begin our first 20
minute sitting meditation promptly at 6:00 pm.

We will enjoy sitting and walking meditation, as well as a dharma teaching,
Q&A and sharing. Some times we also offer joyful singing or a chanting
service.

After 8:00 P.M. you are invited to stay for the tea & treats portion of our
gathering. Feel free to *bring your own non-disposable teacup to be kind to
the Earth Mother*. You may also wish to bring healthy teas, finger foods or
snacks to share with the Sangha.

*About Us:* The *Broward Lotus Sangha* (BLS) is a Community of Mindful
Living in the tradition of Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh. A “Sangha” is a
community of practitioners that endeavors to live in mindfulness and
awareness. We meet every 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month from 6:30 PM
to 8:30 PM for mindfulness meditation practice (and other times as posted in
