* *MEDITATING WITH THE BODY: CULTIVATING BODY, MIND, BREATH, AND STILLNESS*

*A 3-Day Mindfulness Residential Retreat in Broward County, Florida,
focusing on mind- and body-based mindfulness practices designed to discover,
investigate and cultivate our True Nature.*

*We recommend that you camp out with us and attend the whole retreat;
however, if unable, please let us know when you register what portion(s) of
the retreat you will be attending*.

This Silent Retreat will provide a wonderful opportunity for those who want
to explore their True Nature and deepen their mindfulness practice while
cultivating body-mind-spirit through exercises, movement, stillness, and
time for reflection and silence. *This Retreat is open to practitioners of
all ages and levels of experience and will be conducted in English* with
some Vietnamese translation.

Throughout the weekend, we will benefit from Dharma Teachings, lectures and
detailed instruction on mindfulness practices designed to cultivate body,
mind, breath, and stillness, as well as periods of Questions and Answers and
Dharma Sharing. Exercises will include Taoist Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Ji, Thây
Nhat Hanh’s Mindful Movements, Zen Stick Exercises, Mindful Walking, and
Mindful Work. We will also share periods of chanting, sitting, and walking
meditation, deep relaxation, mindful meals and tea meditation.

Teachings will be derived from *The Sutra on the Full Awareness of
Breathing, The Sutra on the Four Establishments of Mindfulness* and other
sources.

In order to help defray the costs associated with providing attendees
beverages, daily vegetarian meals, and retreat space, the minimum donation
requested to attend this event is $150.00. Some Work Scholarships are
available for Sangha members in financial need. Proceeds benefit Tu Viện
Hương Hải Buddhist Monastery*.

*In the Buddhist spirit of generosity and inclusiveness, Dharma Teachings
are offered free of charge. However, voluntary donations are welcome and
your generosity in providing a donation or Dana for the Dharma teachers and
the monastic and lay Sanghas is gratefully accepted and encouraged*.

For those who wish to take full advantage of the retreat and stay overnight,
primitive camping sites are available at no extra charge. Please bring your
own tent and sleeping bag!
